“We moved into a bungalow which was 20 years old, the boiler was of the same age and had to be moved to another position as we were at some time having an extension built, so we decided to put a new boiler and system in at the same time. After getting prices for a new boiler it seemed sensible with the price of gas going up and up to have Solar panels fitted at the same time. We have a south facing sloping roof so we could not have had a better position for the panels.I am unable to say what the cost savings are as we had the system fitted soon after we moved in. The Solar system works extremely well even during winter when the sun is shining, and during the summer even on dull days.”

“When we approached [The Solar Company] we did so knowing that our existing house plumbing would present a problem. Steve came over and discussed with us what we wanted, advising on a single panel and not two. He then measured up and went off to design the system.

We have a solid fuel boiler and very ancient plumbing; however, he designed a system and gave us a quotation that we agreed to. He then came later, fitted it and did so within the agreed price.

The panel works. Even in February, with little sun, we had some benefit.. Installed for only a few months the system is heating the water and although not intended to heat the house, it does allow the main boiler to heat up the radiators quicker than before.

The work was excellent and from my wife’s point of view, left no mess!
